Today I'll be listing some of the proverbs from a book by Professor Dr. Chan Swee Heng,Cindy James,and Jenna Ooi.

1.Absence makes the heart grow fonder. -sometimes her/his disappearence makes relationship better. 2.A bird in hand is worth two in the bush. -sometimes what we had now is more valueble than what we wanted. 3.A friend in need is a friend indeed. -helpful friend. 4.An idle brain is the devil's workshop -Smart people that do bad things. 5.A penny saved is a penny gained. -What we have is how much effort that we did. 6.A picture paints a thousand words. -A picture that has inner meaning. 7.As you sow,so you shall reap. -An outcome by our own effort that we should have alone. 8.A rolling stone gathers no moss. -Too much idea but no act. 9.A watched pot never boils. -something that slowly grow and cannot been watch persist. 10.Discretion is the better part of valour. -Considered everything before act. *updated - 23rd August 2015 11.Don't count your chickens before they're hatched. -Don't count something that you haven't. 12.Don't judge a book by its cover. -Don't judge people too quick. 13.Don't make a mountain out of a molehill. -Do not exaggrate anything. 14.Every cloud has a silver lining. -There are solutions/hope for every problems. 15.Fire is a good servant but a bad master. -Fire is less harm when it small but it is harmful when it grown bigger. 16.Good things come to those who wait. -Patient people will be award. 17.Half a loaf is better than non. -Be grateful of what we have. 18.It's not use crying over spilt milk. -When something is happen,it's too late to regret. 19.Let not the pot call the kettle black. -Do not tease/curse someone. 20.Look before you leap. -Make everything sure before make a statement.
